Sometimes I go in more for the ultra-realistic. This is a good example. I forget the Latin name, but it definitely has one. To the uninitiated this may look like I've just glued some insect to a hook. But I can assure you this is all just fur and feather. Surprising I know. If you look closely you may be able to make this out - for example, study the tails for a little while and it should become clear: feather.
So yeah, bit of ultra-realism, no bad thing for any flytyer in his life-long dedication to the supreme art. And I'm dedicated alright.
