Bright green buzzer.
Hmm. Looks a bit dead this one, or deformed. But hey, sometimes that's what the fish want. Tie a superfly and the fish may think it's too much like hard work to catch it; tie a deformed fly and you're in with a chance. Yeah, so that's why I did it.
The first buzzer hatches of the season, where I used to do this sort of thing, were bright green. I wouldn't mind doing it again because the fishing was fabulous. It's a useful little fly to have in your box for rivers as well, I've no idea why of course, only that it is.
Tying instructions:
Green floss, or thread, floss is better, cos then it's brighter. Olive seal for the thorax picked out a little bit for that "difficult to acquire" crippled effect. Size 16.
