White marabou.
A wonderfully attractive background to harmonise a relatively neat fly.
The only time I ever actually use this fly is for side-sweeping (there it is again) late May. Fished just under the surface it nails a lot of fish... erm catches a lot of fish.
Tying instructions:
size 10 long shank, white thread (slightly off-colour, because that's all I have left), white chenille body ribbed silver, tuft of white marabou wing.
