So I'm fishing around Crowsnest and there's lots of Cutts. Cutts are not like real trout because they are stupid - no hang on - enthusiastic as Bob called it. Fact is you can catch Cutts without any complications using surface dries that are big and ugly. You can also use small ones. In fact you can use anything you like because you can't fuckup. However instead of catching just a lot of Cutts you may as well catch them all. So I've tied an ant:

I normally tie my ants without rubber legs and wings. The rubber legs however are quite sexy for Cutts who like this sort of thing and everything else. The white wings were for my benefit, but having fished it today I couldn't see them, so I needn't have bothered, but it doesn't matter anyway because Cutts hook themselves.

This fly then landed on my arm but instead of taking a picture of it like any normal person would, I went for an effect-pic instead. If anyone can work out what fly it is before tomorrow's Blog I'll send them a RFU, which I'll tie tomorrow, because the Cutts will eat the shit out of them too.

This is actually something like Bob would tie. I know that because I copied it from one of the ones he kindly gave me. Basically it's one of his DH Sedges but with rubber legs. And it's big. Bob only uses two flies of course, and in fact they're really the same fly tied in two different ways. I suspect he's taking the piss.
Cheers, Paul
